THE ARGUS FOUNDATION APPLIES BUSINESS LEADERSHIP TO IMPORTANT COMMUNITY ISSUES. THE ARGUS FOUNDATION IDENTIFIES, EDUCATES, ADVOCATES AND COLLABORATES ON SOLUTIONS FOR ISSUES IMPACTING SARASOTA COUNTY INCLUDING GOVERNANCE, EDUCATION, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, ENVIRONMENT AND LAND PLANNING, HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, AND TRANSPORTATION.
Program accomplishments
- DEVOTED SUBSTANTIAL RESOURCES TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF COUNTY STORMWATER MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT, INCLUDING ADVOCATING FOR SPECIAL WORKSHOPS AND FORMING PARTNERSHIPS TO ENSURE THE CONTINUED WORK BY SARASOTA COUNTY ON CITY OF SARASOTA STORMWATER.
- ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED IN THE CITY OF SARASOTA CITY MANAGER SELECTION PROCESS AND INITIAL STAGES OF THE DOWNTOWN MASTER PLAN.
