TO RAISE&STEWARD PRIVATE FUNDS FOR THE ENHANCEMENT OF BROWARD COUNTY LIBRARY. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO SUPPORTS CREATIVE ADULT&CHILDREN'S LITERACY PROGRAMMING, INNOVATIVE LIBRARY INITIATIVES,&COLLECTION ENHANCEMENTS.

- THE BROWARD PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION SUPPORTS MORE THAN A DOZEN PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FOR BROWARD COUNTY LIBRARY, INCLUDING FREE SAT/ACT PREPARATION CLASSES FOR UP TO 550 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS; A 10-WEEK SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS; TWO CHILDREN'S LITERACY FESTIVALS FEATURING FREE BOOK GIVEAWAYS; A SCIENTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM AT THE NORTH LAUDERDALE LIBRARY AND THE MOON ROCK EXHIBIT AND PROGRAMMING AT THE MAIN LIBRARY. THROUGH THE INTEREST GENERATED BY THEIR FUNDS IN THE LIBRARY FOUNDATION'S ENDOWMENT, THE AFRICAN AMERICAN RESEARCH LIBRARY AND THE LAUDERHILL TOWNE CENTRE LIBRARY HAVE PROVIDED READING AND ADULT SUCCESS LITERACY COACHES AND SIGNIFICANTLY EXPANDED COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING.Expenses $616,683
