Mission
TO PROVIDE TIP LINE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECEIVING INFORMATION THAT LAW ENFORCEMENT MIGHT OTHERWISE NOT BE ABLE TO OBTAIN, AND THEN PROVIDE THAT INFORMATION TO LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLVING CRIMES AND APPREHENDING CRIMINALS, AND TO PROVIDE MONETARY CASH REWARDS TO THE TIPSTERS FOR INFORMATION THAT LEADS TO AN ARREST OF A CRIMINAL OR WANTED FUGITIVE.
Program accomplishments
- THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED 5,438 TIPS. MULTIPLE TIPS WERE APPROVED DURING THE YEAR AND $46,500 WERE PAID. TIPS ARE RECEIVED VIA TIP LINES AND E-MAILS. REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ORGANIZATION ATTENDED SEVEN COMMUNITY EVENTS TO PROMOTE CRIME PREVENTION. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE BROWARD COUNTY MUNICIPAL POLICE AGENCIES AND THE BROWARD SHERIFF'S OFFICE TO PROVIDE INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC AND SPREAD IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CRIME PREVENTION AND STOPPAGE. THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUED TO ACTIVELY PROMOTE INFORMATION REGARDING CRIME STOPPAGE AND PREVENTION IN MULTIPLE WAYS INCLUDING BILLBOARDS, SOCIAL MEDIA, BUS BENCHES, ETC.Expenses $206,453 · grants $46,500
