- OPERATE THE HISTORICAL PARK, INCLUDING THE ADDITION/RESTORATION/MAINTENANCE AND PUBLIC USE OF HISTORIC BUILDINGS AND COLLECTION ITEMS. THESE BUILDINGS AND COLLECTION ITEMS HELP THE HISTORICAL COMMISSION IN ITS EFFORTS TO EDUCATE VISITORS ABOUT THE COMMUNITYS PAST. APPROXIMATELY 10,806 VISITORS TO THE PARK DURING THE YEAR.Expenses $4,067
- SPONSOR A LOCAL HISTORY FAIR TO EDUCATE MANATEE COUNTY STUDENTS IN HISTORY AND RESEARCH. APPROXIMATELY 32 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE HISTORY FAIR WITH 5 GOING TO THE STATE LEVEL 4.
