TO IMPROVE THE LIVES AND PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT OF CURRENT AND FUTURE FAMILY PHYSICIANS SO THEY CAN PROVIDE EXCEPTIONAL CARE TO THEIR PATIENTS AND COMMUNITIES.
Program accomplishments
- CME Meetings - Held two hybrid, one virtual, and one in-person CME event available to all 4,500 NCAFP members as well as non-NCAFP members in North Carolina and across the country. The four events attracted 1,157 attendees and provided 100 hours of continuing medical education. Additionally, the NCAFP provided an in-person event in February which targeted medical students and had 77 participants.Expenses $687,182 · revenue $912,407
- MEMBER SERVICES - ADVOCATED ON BEHALF OF 4,500 MEMBERS FOR INCREASED INVESTMENT IN FAMILY MEDICINE WHICH INCLUDED CLOSING THE UNINSURED/UNDERINSURED COVERAGE GAP IN RURAL AREAS AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FAMILY MEDICINE LOAN FORGIVENESS PILOT; ADVOCATED FOR LESS ADMINISTRATIVE BURDEN IN THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM AND INCREASED PAYMENT RATES FOR PRIMARY CARE SERVICES; ADVOCATED ON BEHALF OF PRIMARY CARE THROUGHOUT THE ONGOING MEDICAID TRANSITION TO MANAGED CARE AND FOR THE FULL SCOPE OF FAMILY MEDICINE IN ADDRESSING BEHAVIORAL HEALTH; ADVOCATED ON BEHALF OF EMPLOYED FAMILY PHYSICIANS WITHIN LARGE HEALTH SYSTEMS AND AMONG PAYERS; AND SERVED ON NUMEROUS TASKFORCES AND POLICY GROUPS, ADVOCATING ON BEHALF OF FAMILY PHYSICIANS AND PATIENTS IN NORTH CAROLINA.Expenses $295,737 · revenue $836,891
