Mission
THE PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ETHYLENE OXIDE STERILIZATION ASSOCIATION, INC. SHALL BE TO PROMOTE AND ENHANCE THE SAFE USE AND POSITIVE ASPECTS OF ETHYLENE OXIDE FOR STERILIZATION PURPOSES AND THE OTHER COMMON INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS AND OF THE PUBLIC IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF SOUND GOVERNMENTAL POLICIES, PROCEDURES, AND REQUIREMENTS.

- THE ETHYLENE OXIDE STERILIZATION ASSOCIATION ("EOSA"): (1) REVIEWED AND COMMENTED ON THE PROPOSED RULEMAKING FOR THE NATIONAL EMISSION STANDARDS FOR HAZARDOUS AIR POLLUTANTS (NESHAP) FOR COMMERCIAL STERILIZATION OPERATIONS, THE PROPOSED RULE REGARDING THE HAZARDOUS ORGANIC NESHAP (HON), AND CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH HAZARD ASSESSMENT'S (OEHHA) PROPOSED NO SIGNIFICANT RISK LEVEL (NSRL) AND INHALATION RISK UNIT (IUR) FOR ETHYLENE OXIDE ; (2) ENGAGED IN DEVELOPMENTS REGARDING REGISTRATION REVIEW DECISION FOR ETHYLENE OXIDE; (3) HOSTED WEEKLY ADVOCACY TECHNICAL COMMITTEE CALLS; (4) HOSTED MONTHLY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND EOSA OFFICERS CALLS; AND (5) HOSTED TWO BIANNUAL GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS.
