Mission
THE INTERNATIONAL SOLID STATE DOSIMETRY ORGANIZATION WAS CREATED WITH THE GOAL TO PROMOTE AND TO ASSIST IN THE ORGANIZATION AND TO ENSURE THE CONTINUITY OF THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SOLID STATE DOSIMETRY.
Program accomplishments
- THE ORGANIZATION PRIMARILY COORDINATES THE PLANNING OF A TRIENNIAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SOLID STATE DOSIMETRY . DOSIMETRY IS THE MEASUREMENT OF IONIZING RADIATION. RADIATION DOSIMETRY IS STUDIED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT, RADIATION AREA WORKERS, AND THE GENERAL PUBLICFROM THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF IONIZING RADIATION SUCH AS X-RAYS AND GAMMA RAYS. THE CONFERENCE IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR DISCUSSION OF ISSUES RELATED TO SOLID STATE DOSIMETRY, A MECHANISM FOR PRESENTING RESEARCH IN THE FIELD, AND A MEANS OF ADVANCING THE STUDY OF SOLID STATE DOSIMETRY.
