Mission
CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR LAW STUDENTS IN THE GREATER WASHINGTON, D.C. AREA. PROGRAMS INCLUDE MENTORSHIP, NETWORKING, EVENTS, FELLOWSHIPS, AND SKILLS BASED PROGRAMMING.
Program accomplishments
- Awarded 8 student fellowships/grants. AEF Awards summer fellowship scholarships and grants each year to law students from around the nation. The primary purpose of the fellowships is to fund a students internship within the public interest sector that benefits either metropolitan Washington, D.C. community-at-large and/or the Asian Pacific American Community.Expenses $36,000
- Conferences - Hosted in-person conference to bring together judges and former clerks to provide minority law students information about clerkships and internships in a wide range of tribunals - appellate, trial, federal, state and administrative courts at both trial and appellate levels.Expenses $4,978
