Mission

TO PROTECT FAMILY FARMING IN WHATCOM COUNTY AND TO HELP RAISE COMMUNITY AWARENESS ABOUT THE CHALLENGES OUR FARMS FACE AS WELL AS THE ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFIT THEY BRING TO OUR COUNTY AND STATE.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • IN 2025, THE PRIMARY SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT WAS TWO-FOLD.1) CONTINUING WORK WITH THE STATE OF WASHINGTON AND DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY IN WRITING LEGISLATION FOR THE CAFO PERMIT REGULATIONS AND WATER RIGHT AND QUALITY STANDARDS. THIS ALLOWS FAMILY FARMERS' VOICE AND CONCERNS TO BE REPRESENTED IN THE DISCUSSION.2) CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT OF THE REAL ENVIRONMENTAL CAMPAIGN WHICH SETS OUT TO EDUCATE WASHINGTON RESIDENTS AND CITIZENS ON WHAT SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES ARE BEING USED BY FARMERS, HOW THIS IMPACTS AND IMPROVES WATER AND SOIL QUALITY, AND WHAT ADVANCEMENTS IN TECHNOLOGY AND FARMING PRACTICES ARE BEING IMPLEMENTED.

What it must file and when
