- CURRENT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE ADVOCACY CAMPAIGNS FOCUSED ON ADVOCATING FOR GLOBAL ACCESS TO QUALITY, SAFE, TIMELY AND AFFORDABLE EMERGENCY AND ESSENTIAL SURGICAL, OBSTETRIC, TRAUMA AND ANESTHESIA (SOTA) CARE WITH GOVERNMENTS, MAJOR POLICY MAKERS, FUNDERS AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION, UNITED NATIONS, AND WORLD BANK. THE G4 ALLIANCE ENGAGED DURING KEY INTERNATIONAL STAKEHOLDER MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES (INCLUDING THE WORLD HEALTH ASSEMBLY AND UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY) TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THE CURRENT STATUS OF GLOBAL SOTA CARE, BRINGING TOGETHER EXPERTS TO DISCUSS KEY ISSUES AND STRATEGIES. THE ADVOCACY OF THE G4 ALLIANCE HAS BEEN FOCUSED ON RAISING AWARENESS, DEVELOPING POLICY, AND MOBILIZING RESOURCES FOR GLOBAL ACCESS TO SOTA CARE.
