Mission
WORKERS DEFENSE ACTION FUND IS A MEMBER-LED ORGANIZATION THAT MOBILIZES LATINE VOTERS IN TEXAS TO BUILD GOVERNING POWER AND FIGHT FOR WORKER AND IMMIGRANT JUSTICE.
Program accomplishments
- IN 2024 WORKERS DEFENSE ACTION FUND (WDAF) WORKED TO IMPROVE WORKING CONDITIONS FOR WORKERS IN TEXAS AND TO ENSURE IMMIGRANTS ARE TREATED WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT. WDAF WORKED ON PURSUING POLICIES AT THE LOCAL AND FEDERAL LEVEL IN SUPPORT OF THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF WORKERS ON THE JOB SUCH AS HEAT SAFETY POLICIES TO PROTECT WORKERS FROM EXTREME HEAT. WDAF ALSO PROVIDED LEADERSHIP TRAININGS FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND ENGAGED THOSE IMPACTED BY OUR WORK IN ALL OF OUR CAMPAIGNS.Expenses $885,681 · grants $99,283 · revenue $17,878
