Program accomplishments

  • Family & Community care program: Funding from this program covers the materials and aid needed to address illnesses, injuries, transportation to work, school supplies, cook stoves, beds, shoes & clothing, hygiene supplies and help with community improvement programs such as social & prayer visits and repair of water lines and streets. A weekly kids program is carried out so children can learn social skills alongside their peers. Community movie nights are provided for families to have the opportunity to spend time together in a safe environment. Monthly family meals "Cena con Jesus" with community worship and prayer. Development of a community prayer and vegetable garden to provide for an area for peaceful prayer and community collaboration and training in vegetable gardening for self sufficiency. Installation of new water lines throughout a sector of the San Gabriel community to provide water service to 25 families.
    Expenses $74,516
  • Home construction & home improvement program: In 2025 six block homes were constructed. When homes are not being constructed, we work to provide assistance with various home/living improvement projects such as digging wells, septic systems, constructing light posts, pouring concrete floors, & repairing roofs.
    Expenses $72,956
  • Food distribution program: 200 families (approx 700 individuals) receive a monthly supplemental food package. These families live in extreme poverty on and around a community landfill. 4,000 pounds of rice & beans (grains)are distributed to an established list of recipients each month. During the distribution, we provide education & information on topics and opportunities to help improve health & well-being as well as self-sufficiency. Opportunities are offered for food recipients to visit with a missionary or community liaison to share about any physical, mental or spiritual needs in which we work to meet these requests/needs.
    Expenses $58,084
