PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTING AN ANNUAL STATEWIDE CONFERENCE AND SUPPORTING REGIONAL COUNCIL MEETINGS THAT PROMOTE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF ITS MEMBERSHIP WITHIN THE STATE OF VIRGINIA. THESE EVENTS PROVIDED MEMBERS WITH: OPPORTUNITIES TO EARN CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS, INFORMATIVE SPEAKERS UPDATING THEM ON CURRENT LEGISLATIVE AND INDUSTRY INFORMATION, AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES.

- THE ORGANIZATION REPRESENTS ITS MEMBERS WITH PROFESSIONAL, COMMUNITY, GOVERNMENT, AND OTHER KEY PARTNER GROUPS. THE ORGANIZATION'S LEADERSHIP INITIATES AND HOSTS MEETINGS WITH KEY PARTNER GROUPS SUCH AS NURSING ORGANIZATIONS, HEALTH INDUSTRY ORGANIZATIONS, AND BUSINESSES INVOLVED IN THE HEALTHCARE SECTOR.
- THE ORGANIZATION ADVANCES THE INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERSHIP BY PREPARING AND INFLUENCING STATE AND NATIONAL HEALTH POLICY. THE ORGANIZATION CONTRACTS WITH STATE-WIDE PROFESSIONALS TO LOBBY ON ITS BEHALF BEFORE THE LEGISLATIVE AND EXECUTIVE BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT.
