Mission
HUAXIA CHINESE SCHOOL OF GREATER NEW YORK (HXGNY), A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, FOCUSES ON TEACHING THE CHINESE LANGUAGE AND PROMOTING CHINESE CULTURE. OUR SCHOOL IS COMMITTED TO EDUCATING STUDENTS TO BE COMPETENT IN LISTENING, SPEAKING, READING, AND WRITING IN CHINESE, AS WELL AS TO HAVE A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF CHINESE CULTURE.
Program accomplishments
- HUAXIA CHINESE SCHOOL OF GREATER NEW YORK FOCUSES ON TEACHING THE CHINESE LANGUAGE AND PROMOTING CHINESE CULTURE. THE SCHOOL PROVIDES CHINESE LANGUAGE COURSES, CULTURE CLASSES, CHINESE AS A SECOND LANGUAGE COURSES, AS WELL AS ADULT CULTURE CLASSES. THE SCHOOL OFFERS PRE-K TO GRADE 9 CHINESE CLASSES AND AP CHINESE TO OVER 400 SCHOOL-AGED STUDENTS. THE SCHOOL OFFERS VARIOUS CULTURE CLASSES SUCH AS CHINESE CALLIGRAPHY, FOLK DANCE, MARTIAL ART, CHESS, ORIGAMI, WATER COLOR, BRUSH PAINTING, ETC. THE SCHOOL IS CURRENTLY USING MALIPING MEIZHOUHUAYU AS ITS TEXTBOOKS.Expenses $448,099 · revenue $477,932
