Mission

Tapestry offers an inclusive, individualized learning environment that is academically engaging, both for neurotypical students and those on the autism spectrum, and creates a positive school experience.

990 for the year ended June 30, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • SCHOOL INSTRUCTION: Tapestry Public Charter School is founded on a constructivist approach to education, which posits that learning happens as students actively engage in a process of meaning and knowledge construction, rather than passively receiving information. Our constructivist approach is research-based and fosters critical thinking by our motivated students. We are an unusual constructivist school because many of our students have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD). Students with ASD may be unable to process information through their senses, so our environment accommodates sensory sensitivites with lighting, sound-proofing, and reductions to other stimuli. Expenses include salaries and benefits, purchased professional services, supplies, and classroom facilities.
    Expenses $5,913,870 · revenue $5,319,572
  • FACILITIES: Tapestry Public Charter School fulfills its mission of providing an inclusion-based education by providing a school facility that fits the needs of our students, while also anticipating the annual expansion associated with adding a grade level per year. Expenses include salaries and benefits, repairs and maintenance, and utilities.
    Expenses $599,530
  • INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES: Tapestrys operations include a learning center for students in need of additional academic support, guidance counselors, adminstrative staff, athletics, and business and development personnel.
    Expenses $618,646
