Program accomplishments
- IN 2024-2025, CEASEFIREPA ACTION ADVANCED ITS ADVOCACY MISSION BY PROMOTING PUBLIC POLICIES THAT REDUCE GUN VIOLENCE IN PENNSYLVANIA. OUR EFFORTS CONTRIBUTED TO A 10% INCREASE IN STATE FUNDING FOR COMMUNITY VIOLENCE INTERVENTION PROGRAMS IN THE 2025-2026 BUDGET. WE ORGANIZED ADVOCACY DAY IN HARRISBURG, WHERE SUPPORTERS MET WITH LEGISLATORS TO DISCUSS POLICY PROPOSALS INCLUDING UNIVERSAL BACKGROUND CHECKS, EXTREME RISK PROTECTION ORDERS, SECURE STORAGE REQUIREMENTS, AND MEASURES ADDRESSING GHOST GUNS. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, VOLUNTEERS ENGAGED IN ADVOCACY BY CONTACTING LEGISLATORS, SUBMITTING COMMENTS, AND PARTICIPATING IN DISTRICT LEVEL MEETINGS TO ENCOURAGE ACTION ON GUN VIOLENCE PREVENTION. ALL ACTIVITIES WERE CONDUCTED AS PART OF CEASEFIREPA ACTION'S 501(C)(4) MISSION.Expenses $164,275
