PROMOTE AND PRESERVE THE LEGACY OF SLOVENIAN-AMERICANS, THROUGH A QUARTERLY PUBLICATION, WEEKLY NEWSLETTER, EDUCATIONAL MUSEUM, SLOVENIAN LANGUAGE CLASSES, COOKBOOK PUBLICATION, WEBSITE COMMUNICATIONS, CULTURAL INTEREST GROUPS, LITERARY AWARDS, BOOK CLUB, DUAL CITIZENSHIP ASSISTANCE AND YOUTH OUTREACH.

PRINTED 7,253 MAGAZINES WITH AN AVERAGE OF 45 PAGES INCLUDING COVER PAGES, PRINTING COSTS $23,248, POSTAGE & SHIPPING $6,725, TWO PART TIME EMPLOYEES EDITOR AND DESIGNER $10,400 AND TWO PART TIME PROOFREADERS, ONE FOR ENGLISH GRAMMAR $600 AND ONE FOR SLOVENIAN GRAMMAR $400. MAGAZINE CONTAINS REPORTS ON EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES, LIST OF NEW MEMBERS, LIST OF DONORS WITH NAMES AND AMOUNTS, VARIOUS ARTICLES SUBMITTED BY BRANCH MEMBERS ON THEIR ACTIVITIES SUCH AS FOOD RECIPES, FAMILY HISTORY, AND IMMIGRATION. MEMBERSHIP $35 ANNUAL DUES WHICH INCLUDES THE MAGAZINE.

LOCATED ON FIRST FLOOR 1,324 SQ FT, MUSEUM SPACE 729 SQ FT, LIBRARY AND OFFICE 363 SQ FT AND STORAGE REST ROOM 232 SQ FT. LIBRARY HOLDINGS HAVE OVER 900 BOOKS AND SPECIAL COLLECTION FROM A RECOGNIZED SLOVENIAN AMERICAN ARTIST BROGAN GROM (1918 TO 2013). THERE IS A SMALL GIFT SHOP AND MUSEUM IS OPENED BY APPOINTMENT. REAR SIDE OF BUILDING FACES FAMOUS U.S. ROUTE 66 WHICH IS CELEBRATING ITS 100TH ANNIVERSARY IN 2026. SLOVENIAN UNION OF AMERICA PRIOR TO YEAR 2011 WAS FORMERLY KNOWN AS SLOVENIAN WOMEN'S UNIONF OF AMERICA WHICH STARTED IN 1926. 100TH ANNNIVERSARY TO BE CELBRATED JULY 30 TO AUGUST 1, 2026 IN TOWER,MN.

BRANCHES CONTRIBUTED $3,195 TO VARIOUS LOCAL SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES, FOOD PANTRIES, CHURCHES, AND OTHER 501C(3) ORGANIZATIONS.
