Mission
Lillian's List recruits, trains and supports progressive women, who are champions of reproductive freedom and equity for women, to run for public office in North Carolina. Through our Action Fund, we provide strategic guidance and political training to women leaders across North Carolina who are interested in running for political office. The Lillian's List PAC supports pro-choice, progressive women running for the General Assembly and Council of State.
Program accomplishments
- Training & Campaign Camp - Program goal is to identify emerging women leaders and provide them with the hard skills to become more civically engaged and seek leadership opportunities, including running for public office. Lillian's List has trained over 800 potential leaders since our founding and over 120 trainees in the last year. We offered 7 different trainings offered over the course of the year.Expenses $17,630
- Communications - Program goals include public education on the political process and issues affecting reproductive freedom and gender equity. Lillian's List also engages and educates our membership on the political process and the need to engage and elect more women to public office.Expenses $54,931
- Leadership/Membership Development - Work in local communities with members and community groups to identify emerging women leaders. Provide mentorship and encouragement to women seeking leadership and volunteer opportunities. Encourage women supporting women and civic participation.Expenses $76,909
- Political Action Committee (the "PAC"), founded in 2015, supports Lillian's List Action Fund by recruiting and supporting left-progressive and pro-abortion candidates running for local- and state-level offices in North Carolina.Expenses $48,938
