Mission
To prevent and reduce substance misuse among youth and adults in Anderson County.
Program accomplishments
- ASAP of Anderson engaged community partners within the 12 sectors for advancement in the prevention of substance misuse in Anderson County, Tennessee through awareness, education, and policy change. We saw a second-year decrease in overdose deaths for Anderson County, decreasing from 75 to 71. Although the state saw a decrease in overdose deaths statewide for the first time, East Tennessee remains the highest number of deaths of the grand divisions in the last data year. With increased education, training, and distribution of naloxone we are seeing positive trends in these numbers as we come together as a community to combat the opioid epidemic. This past year we implemented Care Coordination, connecting individuals from EMS referrals to treatment and recovery resources. Continued in Schedule OExpenses $878,136
