Mission
VOICES FOR CHILDREN OF BROWARD COUNTY (VOICES) IS A NONPROFIT DEDICATED TO SUPPORTING CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE ACROSS BROWARD COUNTY, ENSURING THEY HAVE THE RESOURCES AND PROGRAMS THEY NEED FOR HEALTH, EDUCATION, AND SOCIAL WELL-BEING.
Program accomplishments
- VOICES FOR CHILDREN OF BROWARD COUNTY SERVED AS A SAFETY NET FOR CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE BY PROVIDING GAP FUNDING AND WRAPAROUND SERVICES EXCLUSIVELY FOR THOSE WITH OPEN AND ACTIVE DEPENDENCY CASES IN BROWARD COUNTY, HELPING TO PREVENT DEEPER SYSTEM INVOLVEMENT AND STRENGTHEN LONG-TERM STABILITY. OVER THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS, WE DEDICATED 465 HOURS OF CASE MANAGEMENT TO PROVIDE ADVOCACY, GUIDANCE, AND INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORT, WHILE 511 CHILDREN RECEIVED EMERGENCY AND NORMALCY RESOURCES THAT BROUGHT STABILITY AND EVERYDAY CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES. THROUGH HOPE HAVEN, 829 CHILDREN AND CAREGIVERS ACCESSED TANGIBLE ESSENTIALS SUCH AS CLOTHING, DIAPERS, AND HOUSEHOLD GOODS, AND 166 CHILDREN CREATED CORE MEMORIES THROUGH DREAM BIG DAYS FILLED WITH ENRICHMENT AND JOY. IN ADDITION, 9 YOUNG PEOPLE PREPARING TO TRANSITION OUT OF FOSTER CARE WERE SUPPORTED THROUGH FOSTERING HOPE, BUILDING THE SKILLS AND CONFIDENCE NEEDED FOR INDEPENDENCE.Expenses $290,141
