Mission

RASPBERRY DREAMS FOUNDATION ('RDF') WAS FORMED TO PROVIDE CHARITABLE SUPPORT TO UNDERPRIVILEGED AND UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES BY DISTRIBUTING NEW AND GENTLY USED CLOTHING TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED, OFFERING FREE YOUTH SPORTS AND BASKETBALL PROGRAMS, AND STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. THE ORGANIZATION PRIMARILY SERVES INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • TO DATE, RDF HAS NOT YET CONDUCTED FORMAL PROGRAM ACTIVITIES SUCH AS VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT, PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, OR COMMUNITY OUTREACH. THESE ACTIVITIES WERE INTENTIONALLY DEFERRED UNTIL THE ORGANIZATION WAS FORMALLY ESTABLISHED. THE ORGANIZATION HAS FOCUSED ON ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND ESTABLISHING INTERNAL GOVERNANCE PROCEDURES. THE ORGANIZATION IS CURRENTLY PLANNING ITS FIRST FORMAL CHARITABLE PROGRAM, AN ANNUAL CLOTHING DONATION INITIATIVE EXPECTED TO OCCUR IN DECEMBER 2025 IN SEATTLE. RDF PLANS TO CARRY OUT THE FOLLOWING CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES ON AN ONGOING BASIS: 1) CLOTHING COLLECTION AND DISTRIBUTION. RDF WILL OBTAIN CLOTHING PRIMARILY THROUGH DONATIONS FROM LOCAL AND NATIONAL BUSINESSES, WHICH IS EXPECTED TO BE THE MAIN SOURCE OF DONATED CLOTHING. THE ORGANIZATION WILL ALSO ACCEPT DONATIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS AND HOST COMMUNITY CLOTHING DRIVES. CLOTHING WILL BE DISTRIBUTED AT NO COST TO INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCING CLOTHING INSECURITY THROUGH GIVE-BACK EVENTS HELD AT ACCESSIBLE LOCATIONS SUCH AS COMMUNITY CENTERS, PARTNER ORGANIZATION SITES, OR DESIGNATED EVENT SPACES. RECIPIENTS WILL BE IDENTIFIED PRIMARILY THROUGH THESE OPEN COMMUNITY DISTRIBUTION EVENTS AND, AS THE ORGANIZATION GROWS, THROUGH REFERRALS FROM SCHOOLS, SHELTERS, AND SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES. ALL DISTRIBUTIONS WILL BE BASED ON OBJECTIVE NEED OR OPEN PUBLIC PARTICIPATION, WITHOUT REGARD TO PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH ORGANIZATIONAL INSIDERS. 2) YOUTH SPORTS AND BASKETBALL CAMPS. RDF PLANS TO HOST FREE YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAMS AND BASKETBALL CAMPS DESIGNED TO PROMOTE POSITIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, MENTORSHIP, AND PHYSICAL WELL-BEING. CAMPS WILL BE HELD AT LOCATIONS SELECTED BASED ON AVAILABILITY AND COMMUNITY NEEDS. PARTICIPANTS WILL BE IDENTIFIED THROUGH OPEN REGISTRATION WITH LIMITED, OBJECTIVE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (SUCH AS SCHOOL ENROLLMENT AND PARTICIPATION IN A SPORT) TO ENSURE THE PROGRAMS SERVE THEIR INTENDED PURPOSE. NO YOUTH WILL BE EXCLUDED BASED ON INABILITY TO PAY. CAMPS WILL BE SUPERVISED BY QUALIFIED VOLUNTEERS AND ORGANIZATIONAL STAFF, AND VOLUNTEERS WILL BE SCREENED AND TRAINED AS APPROPRIATE. 3) PUBLIC AWARENESS AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH. THE ORGANIZATION WILL RAISE AWARENESS OF ITS PROGRAMS THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH LOCAL AND NATIONAL BUSINESSES, COMMUNITY NETWORKS, AND OUTREACH EVENTS. RDF ALSO ANTICIPATES COLLABORATING WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS, NONPROFITS, AND LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS TO CONNECT INDIVIDUALS WITH AVAILABLE SERVICES, PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY EVENTS, AND IDENTIFY COMMUNITY NEEDS.
