Mission

To create sacred spaces where lay Christian pilgrims find rest and renewal individuals deepen their spiritual journey and community is fostered through works of mercy offered to people in all stages of life.

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • GALAs primary activity in 2025 was to raise funds. The primary fundraising activity was contacting friends and family of GALA board members. GALA representatives also attended conferences to solicit donations from conference attendees.
  • The second primary activity for GALA in 2025 was to identify a property for use near Assisi Italy. A property was identified. GALA at first intended to purchase the property itself but lacked sufficient funds. GALA received an inspection report and estimates on costs to renovate the property. Then a donor offered to purchase the property and let GALA use it via a rental agreement. The purchase transaction and rental agreement are expected in 2026.
    Expenses $6,123
  • GALAs primary purpose remains as stated above. In 2026 this year we expect to begin renting the property and making renovations. The renovations will take several years at least and will be ongoing. We hope to begin receiving spiritual pilgrims for at least part of the property in 2027.
  • Banking fees
    Expenses $157
