Mission

Assisting in recovery from Tropical Storm Helene in an underserved area of Western North Carolina.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Funds were allocated to both homeowners and renters in Beacon Village, a locally significant neighborhood, to assist with recovery needs after Helene destroyed homes and personal belongings. These families were given allotments to be used for whatever recovery needs came up as a result of catastrophic flooding. Each household was contacted through in-person, on-the-ground efforts and were verified through publicly available records. Funds were distributed equitably with board-approved limits applying by category (owner vs renter). Funds were all sourced via contributions to the organization.
