Mission
Heeding God's Call is a faith-based movement to prevent gun violence. We unite people of faith in the sacred responsibility to protect our brothers and sisters.
Program accomplishments
- Heeding God's Call provides support and resources for faith communities to form multi-racial, ecumenical and interfaith partnerships to work together to prevent gun violence by deterring the purchase of illegal handguns and their trafficking on the streets. We unite with and learn from congregations and other organizations to support gun violence prevention organizations and other efforts already in place. Our primary programming focuses on education about gun violence issues through End Gun Violence Days, demonstrating the impact of gun violence through displays of the Memorial to the Lost, and advocacy for change through letter writing to state and federal legislators.Expenses $68,554
