Mission
THE CPOC FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO BE A LEADER IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND DELIVERY OF PROBATION, JUVENILE JUSTICE, FOSTER CARE AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE CURRICULUM THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AS WELL AS EXPLORE OPPORTUNITIES TO UNDERGO RESEARCH RELATED WORK SUPPORTED BY COURSE FEES AND GRANTS.
Program accomplishments
- THE CPOC FOUNDATION'S PRIMARY FOCUS IS ON PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL COURSES THAT ARE CERTIFIED BY THE BOARD OF STATE AND COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS TO PROBATION PERSONNEL AND MEET THEIR STANDARDS AND TRAINING FOR CORRECTIONS REQUIREMENTS. OUR TRAININGS AND CONFERENCES ARE PRIMARILY ATTENDED BY PERSONNEL FROM CALIFORNIA'S PROBATION DEPARTMENTS AS WELL AS, AT TIMES, PARTNER AGENCIES. COURSES ARE TAUGHT BY PROBATION PERSONNEL WHO ARE EXPERTS IN THEIR FIELD AND OTHERS IDENTIFIED AS SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS IN THE COURSE TOPICS. TRAININGS ARE OFFERED FOR A FEE AND/OR SUPPORTED BY GRANTS AND/OR CONTRACTS. THE CPOC FOUNDATION ALSO PARTNERS WITH OTHER ENTITIES FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES TO ANALYZE IMPACTS OF POLICY CHANGES AND/OR STUDY EVIDENCED BASED AND BEST PRACTICES IN ORDER TO ENHANCE THE FIELD OF PROBATION AND ITS OPERATIONS.Expenses $2,342,713
