TO ENHANCE AND DEEPEN EVERY BOYS CREATIVE EXPRESSION, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND CULTURAL APPRECIATION THROUGH THE VOCAL ARTS.
Program accomplishments
- OFFERING AN EXCEPTIONAL CHORAL EXPERIENCE TO OVER 100 MALE-IDENTIFYING YOUTH IN GRADES 3-12 EACH YEAR. ANNUAL PROGRAMS INCLUDE TUITION-FREE MEMBERSHIP IN THE BOYCHOIR'S CORE ENSEMBLES AS WELL AS OPPORTUNITIES FOR BOYS TO SAMPLE THE BOYCHOIR EXPERIENCE THROUGH WORKSHOPS AND REHEARSALS HOSTED IN A VARIETY OF NEIGHBORHOODS IN THE CINCINNATI REGION. THESE PROGRAMS ARE INTENTIONALLY HOSTED OUTSIDE OF THE DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI AREA TO EXPAND ACCESS TO SINGERS FACING BARRIERS OF TIME OR TRANSPORTATION.BOYS ENROLLED IN CORE ENSEMBLES ARE PLACED THROUGH SEMIANNUAL AUDITIONS IN AUGUST AND JANUARY AND ATTEND WEEKLY REHEARSALS AT THE ARONOFF CENTER FOR THE ARTS. THE BOYCHOIR IS MODELED SO THAT EACH LEVEL REHEARSES BOTH SEPARATELY AND TOGETHER, ALLOWING SINGERS TO FORM IMPACTFUL MENTORING RELATIONSHIPS ACROSS ENSEMBLES. ALL BOYS RECEIVE A PREMIER MUSICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE TRANSFORMATIVE PERSONAL GROWTH AS THEY DEVELOP CONFIDENCE, TEAMWORK, DISCIPLINE AND LEADERSHIP THROUGH OUR MUSICAL CURRICULUM.Expenses $36,269 · revenue $10,910
