Mission
The primary mission of the Clear Lake High School Baseball Booster Club is to support the Clear Lake High School baseball programs three teams (sophomore, junior varsity and varsity), through fundraising, concessions operations, sponsorship sales and donations . Our all-volunteer members and officers ensure all proceeds, and the above costs and expenses, directly benefit the baseball program and its approximately 60 student-athletes. Key accomplishments for the year included providing $10,000 worth of new training equipment for the baseball programs training facilities, funding the annual baseball banquet and award program (including a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior) and providing additional field and batting cage maintenance beyond what the school is able to provide.
Program accomplishments
- concessions expenses/purchases enabled booster club to generate $16,720 in revenue providing food and drinks to fans during home games, generating more than $10,000 in net funds to the booster club during the year.Expenses $6,070
- used to purchase Rapsodo training system for the team (radar/laser technology used to teach/train/improve batting and pitching skills). Total cost of the system was $9,099. The baseball head coach was able to contribute $4,000 of the purchase price out of his school budget to help offset the total cost. Only by the booster club paying the difference was the Rapsodo purchase possible.Expenses $5,099
- used to laser-level and rebuild the pitching mound on the schools game field. The pitching mound had degraded due to recent storms and general use over past several years, creating safety concerns for the players. The school had no funds to correct the problem so the booster club paid for the renovations.Expenses $4,400
