Mission
TO MAINTAIN AND AROUSE AN ENTHUSIASTIC INTEREST IN VARIOUS PHASES OF THE JACKSON MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL BAND. INITIATE AND ASSIST IN CONDUCTING EDUCATIONAL MUSICAL AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES OF THE BAND.
Program accomplishments
- JACKSON MEMORIAL BAND PARENTS INC. MAINTAINS AND LENDS SUPPORT TO THE JACKSON MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL BAND PROGRAMS, INCLUDING MARCHING BAND, CONCERT BAND AND VARIOUS MUSICAL ENSEMBLES. IT PURCHASES BAND EQUIPMENT, INSTRUMENTS, AND UNIFORMS, PAYS FEES TO ALLOW THE BAND TO COMPETE IN US BANDS AND OTHER COMPETITION PROGRAMS. IT PAYS TRAVEL TO OUT-OF-STATE VENUES THAT ARE NOT PROVIDED BY DISTRICT SCHOOL BUSES, SUCH AS PARADES AND OUT-OF-STATE COMPETITIONS.
