AS THE PREEMINENT LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE FOR GIRLS IN GRADES K-12, GIRL SCOUTS BUILDS GIRLS OF COURAGE, CONFIDENCE, AND CHARACTER, WHO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.
Program accomplishments
- PROVIDING POSITIVE MENTORS, SKILL-BUILDING PROGRAMS, AND RESOURCES TO MEET THE NEEDS OF GIRLS IN GRADES KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 12TH GRADE. GIRL SCOUTS WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA SERVES NEARLY 14,000 GIRLS THROUGH A VARIETY OF MEMBERSHIP PATHWAYS, INCLUDING TROOP, INDIVIDUAL, CAMP, AND TRAVEL. PROGRAM ACTIVITIES INCLUDE CAREER EXPLORATION, PROBLEM-SOLVING, DECISION-MAKING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, PERSONAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS, COMMUNITY SERVICE, OUTDOOR ADVENTURE, AND MORE. THESE ACTIVITIES ARE IMPLEMENTED IN VARIOUS SETTINGS, INCLUDING CAMPS, LIBRARIES, SCHOOLS, CONGREGATIONS, AND OTHER COMMUNITY BUILDINGS.Expenses $8,473,009 · grants $159,804 · revenue $7,864,434
