Mission
SERVE ORPHANS IN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO
Program accomplishments
- IN 2025, CITY OF REFUGE INTERNATIONAL PROVIDED ONGOING SUPPORT TO 500 ORPHANED CHILDREN, INCLUDING THOSE PLACED IN FOSTER FAMILIES, AS WELL AS MONTHLY ASSISTANCE TO MALNOURISHED CHILDREN IN THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO. DURING THE CHRISTMAS SEASON, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED MEALS TO APPROXIMATELY 3,000 CHILDREN. THE ORGANIZATION IS SUPPORTED BY 15 VOLUNTEERS IN THE UNITED STATES AND 140 VOLUNTEERS IN THE CONGO. PROGRAMS INCLUDE CHILD SPONSORSHIP, LIVE WELL (WATER WELL PROGRAM), HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS, VOCATIONAL TRAINING, COMMUNITY FARMING, LIVESTOCK DEVELOPMENT, FEEDING STREET CHILDREN (PROJECT 35), WOMEN EMPOWERMENT, MALNOURISHED PREGNANT WOMEN SUPPORT, AND ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS WITH ALBINISM.Expenses $237,109
