THE HOUSING LEADERSHIP COUNCIL OF PALM BEACH COUNTY IS A COALITION OF COMMUNITY LEADERS WORKING TO SUSTAIN THE ECONOMIC VIABILITY OF THE COUNTY BY SUPPORTING HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL RESIDENTS THROUGH EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, AND FACILITATING PARTNERSHIPS.
Program accomplishments
- REDUCING REGULATORY BARRIERS AND CREATING INCENTIVES - WE REVIEW ALL REGULATIONS THAT EFFECT THE COST OF HOUSING AND TRY TO REDUCE, WAIVE OR ELIMINATE FEES AND PROCESSES THAT MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO BUILD HOUSING UNITS THAT ARE AFFORDABLE TO OUR RESIDENTS. WE ALSO ENCOURAGE INCENTIVES THAT WILL ENCOURAGE MARKET RATE BUILDERS TO INCLUDE MORE AFFORDABLE UNITS.Expenses $86,308
- CAPACITY BUILDING AND COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS - WE WORK WITH ALL HOUSING STAKEHOLDERS IN INCREASE CAPACITY SO THEY ARE ABLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PRIVATE, LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES.
