Program accomplishments

  • Our main programs HFS Storytelling & HFS Connects are designed to create meaningful opportunities for community building among service members, veterans & their families. Through both programs we recruit and train military connected volunteers to provide a variety of peer support, including social/emotional and goal oriented support, and/or engage participants in the storytelling process. Through HFS Storytelling we hope to capture the diversity of military service in New England, bridging the gaps between the military, veteran & civilian communities. Our Shaped by Service Art Show brought together military connected artists from Massachusetts & Connecticut to display & celebrate their sculptures, painting, woodworks, ceramics and other pieces of art. We have partnered with Warrior's Art Room to now have this show & gallery throughout November & December.
