MLK DAY CELEBRATION WITH VANCOUVER AVE. FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH. THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR CONDUCTED 55 HOURS OF COMPLIMENTARY CLINICS AT 25 AREA SCHOOLS, REACHING OVER 1,371 STUDENTS THROUGHOUT THE REGION. THE NEIGHBORHOOD CHOIR PROGRAM, WHICH PROVIDES FREE CHORAL EDUCATION AT TITLE I ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, CONTINUED AT ONE LOCATION DURING THE SEASON BEFORE BEING PAUSED TO DEVELOP A MORE SUSTAINABLE OPERATING MODEL FOR FUTURE EXPANSION. THE ORGANIZATION INVESTED SIGNIFICANTLY IN INFRASTRUCTURE TO SUPPORT SUSTAINABLE GROWTH. INDIVIDUAL AND CORPORATE CONTRIBUTIONS GREW 76% OVER THE PRIOR YEAR, AND PYC INTRODUCED ITS FIRST ANNUAL GALA AS A MAJOR FUNDRAISING INITIATIVE. PROGRAMMING CONTINUED TO EMPHASIZE DIVERSE REPERTOIRE AND COMPOSER REPRESENTATION, WITH CONCERTS FEATURING WORKS BY COMPOSERS OF COLOR, WOMEN, AND UNDERREPRESENTED GROUPS ACROSS MULTIPLE LANGUAGES AND CULTURAL TRADITIONS.
