Our fitness center offers a full gymnasium featuring cardio, free weights, and weight machines, Pilates, yoga cardio mix, women & weight classes, nutrition, private personal training with any of our certified trainers, and our prescription for exercise program. Physicians from regional medical practices refer patients who are obese, are at risk of obesity, or who have obesity related health issues to a six-month guided exercise program. Our membership is representative of 35 communities and ranges in ages from birth to 92 . Schedule D, Part II, Line 9 The Foundry #4 Building is protected by a preservation easement held by the Preservation Trust of Vermont, which safeguards the building's defining historic features, including its distinctive brick exterior, original window patterns, primary entrances, expansive open interior, historic steel roof trusses, and large industrial sliding doors. As part of the Springfield Foundry Redevelopment Project, the Edgar May Health & Recreation Center is committed to preserving these significant architectural elements while removing only the deteriorated annex addition and completing the environmental remediation necessary to ensure the long-term preservation and adaptive reuse of the historic structure. The preservation easement will ensure that the building's historic character and its importance to Springfield's industrial heritage are protected for future generations while allowing it to serve as a revitalized community recreation and wellness facility. All costs related to the building project will be recorded on the balance sheet as construction in progress and, upon completion, as a fixed asset and depreciated over the life of the asset. Schedule D, Part IV, Line 2b The Southern Vermont Health and Recreation Foundation received a conditional grant of $1,323,305 for the cleanup of the Clinton Street Foundry located on 140 Clinton Street, Springfield, Vermont. The foundation received $157,076.00 in funds as of 9/30/25 and recorded the costs as construction in progress and the grant payments as a custodial liability until the completion of Phase I, at which time revenue will be recognized. Schedule D, Part V, Line 4 The Gregory Ballard School Fund is a permanently restricted endowment fund to provide scholarships to school aged children using the interest earned on the fund. The organization received the original contribution of $31,596 in 2006 and received a small amount of additional contributions until 2014. It has not received any additional contributions since that time. This lease agreement contains a clause that both the Landlord (Springfield Medical Care Systems) and the tenant (Southern Vermont Health and Recreation Center Foundation) agree the monthly rental amount reflects the fair market value of the premises.
