<ExplanationTxt>During 2011, the Board adopted a conflict of interest policy. The policy is based upon the sample in the IRS Form 1023 package. Under the policys complete provision annually, the board members, officers, and key employees complete a code of conduct statement to determine any personal, family or business relationships or transactions that may be potential conflict of interest. The forms are reviewed by the Board. During the year, if a potential conflict arises, the policy requires that the individual notify the Board. When a potential transaction is considered, the individual must not participate in the discussion, other than to answer questions about the potential transaction, and must physically excuse himself or herself, while the remaining board members consider the transaction to determine whether it is fair and reasonable to the organization. Legal counsel is consulted, as neccessary, to determine that such a transaction would not constitute an excess benefit transaction.</ExplanationTxt>

<ExplanationTxt>Line 1, Description of orginization mission: Promote the common good and the general welfare of the people of Louisisana throught the advancement of reverance for human life by reaffirming the principle that all human beings from the moment of conception are created equal and are endowed with certain rights among which is the right to life. Line 4A, Program Service Accomplishments: Louisiana Right to Life Changed Hearts and Minds in Louisiana Louisiana Right to Life advanced its mission through its various general education programs Here are a few highlights of the initiatives: Louisiana Right to Life Educational Committee supported 4 Life Marches in Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Monroe-West Monroe, and Pineville-Alexandria where thousands stood for life in cold weather. The theme for the Life Marches was Every Life Worth Living, highlighting that every human person, no matter their age or condition, deserves a chance at life. Louisiana Right to Life partnered with the Diocese of Lafayette to organize Festival de la Vie, an event that serves as Acadianas March for Life. Louisiana Right to Lifes collaboration with the Diocese brought several new elements to the festival in 2025, including a diaper drive, representation from schools throughout Acadiana, acknowledgment of St. Thomas More students as Pro-Life Club of the Year, and various streamlined processes to increase promotion of the event and engagement of families. Louisiana Right to Life continued its pro-life billboard campaign reaching millions of travelers, primarily in the Lake Charles, Acadiana, New Orleans, and Slidell communities of Louisiana All billboards include reference to a website or hotline that can connect pregnant women to local agencies who provide assistance both before and after the birth of a child. A new billboard in this time period included the message of Love Them Both. In addition to billboards, videos were created and released focused on the Love Them Both message and that doctors can care for mothers in emergencies. Louisiana Right to Life supported two Pro-Life Summit events during this period in Baton Rouge that educated and trained 400 pro-life leaders and activists to be effective in spreading the pro-life message and organizing projects to help moms. Louisiana Black Advocates for Life continued to engage the black community on critical pro-life issues LABAL made a meaningful impact, reaching thousands of citizens through various projects promoting the sanctity of life. Examples of the work included the Honoring the Dream Luncheon at Southern University with Dr. Alveda King, the St. Landry Emerging Leaders Program, My Babys Closet that installs and promotes parenting and baby supply closets in churches and community centers, and the Fellowship Program that educates students on HBCUs. The 2025 Acadiana Proudly Pro-Life Gala on Friday January 17, 2025, united 400 Louisianans proclaiming that every life is worth living at Le Pavillon at Parc Lafayette Keynote Speaker Nick Vujicic gave a powerful testimony about being born with no arms and no legs and the power of love. The following day, the New Orleans Proudly Pro-Life Gala on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center united 900 pro-life guests under the same banner. The New Orleans Gala also featured keynote speaker Nick Vujicic and Proudly Pro-Life Honorees were Troy and Tracy Duhon and Giving Hope NOLA. The Louisiana Right to Lifes Center for Medical Ethics provided education on a variety of medical ethics issues from beginning of life issues to end of life issues such as assisted suicide and euthanasia. In September, Louisiana Right to Lifes Center for Medical Ethics hosted a dinner for over approximately pro-life doctors and medical students in Shreveport to discuss medical issues relating to the protection of life. Preaux Life and other merchandising, bumper stickers, magnets, and t-shirts promoted pro-life awareness across the state and are sold online and at events to cover print cost. Louisiana Right to Life sponsored radio minute ads to Christian radio stations to provide education on fetal development, abortion, adoption, support for moms, and more. In May of 2025, Louisiana Right to Life distributed 6,329 diapers, 178 packs of wipes, over 500 baby food containers, cans of formula, ointment and more to New Orleans mothers We had a line outside our Louisiana Right to Life headquarters in Lakeview. The families were very appreciative of the needed supplies WGNO TV came to the supply distribution and produced a great news clip that was played on their Saturday evening newscasts. Louisiana Right to Life Educational Committee supported the work of Option Hope through grants to the organization to further adoption education in schools in Louisiana. Option Hope, a separate non-profit organization, is empowering students, primarily in public school classrooms, with knowledge about the benefits of infant adoption to society, children, birth parents, and adopting parents. From June of 2024 through May of 2025, Option Hope reached over 6,700 students through over 270 presentations. Line 4B, Program Service Accomplishments: Pro-Life Education Programs Inspired the Youth During June 2024 through May of 2025, we continued our mission to empower young people to protect life and help moms through numerous pulse youth events and presentations. 81 students were expertly trained at two Pulse Immersion Days and our Pulse Leadership Institute. Our youth team made 180 pro-life presentations to 9,029 students at schools and churches around the state. We impacted another 9,590 young people through our Geaux Forth event, outreaches, at events, on college campuses, and other efforts. We continued to train, facilitate and educate college pro-life. During this time, we supported college pro-life groups and a pro-life student group at LSU Medical School in New Orleans. As a part of our Youth Outreach, we brought speaker Rebekah Hagan to speak about the dangers of abortion pills and her inspirational choice of choosing life against all odds at assemblies at Catholic High New Iberia, Lafayette Christian Academy, St. Thomas More High School, St. Marys Dominican High School, Archbishop Hannan High School, and Cabrini High School. During this time, we continued our Theyre Human Too college exhibit which visited multiple colleges, including Louisiana Christian University, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and Southeastern Louisiana University. The exhibit furthered productive conversation and education in Louisiana colleges and universities about life. Line 4C, Program Service Accomplishments: Louisiana Right to Life advocated for life throughout Louisiana, at the State Capitol, and beyond protect life and help moms Louisiana Right to Life provided three Luminary publication to our Luminary members, churches and other citizens and groups around the state. The luminary, a full-color print publication, includes in depth coverage of current pro-life issues, LARTL events, and more. Louisiana Right to Life continued to be a regular participant in local and national media through interviews and other engagements. Louisiana Right to Life engaged in efforts to support the advancement of pro-life legislation and public policy in this period, including the passage of key legislation such as the Justice for Victims of Abortion Drug Dealers Act and the Stop Coerced Abortion Act. Louisiana Right to Life also worked hard to raise public awareness about the dangers of abortion pills to the lives of unborn babies and the health of mothers. Louisiana Right to Life also made a grant in 2024 for the purpose of educating citizens in the state of Florida about the disastrous results for unborn babies, mothers, and parental rights if Amendment 4 in Florida would have passed. Thankfully, Amendment 4 failed and the negative consequences were avoided. Louisiana Right to Life has a strong social media outreach across Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and Twitter. Our activity engages citizens in ways the organization is unable to in a face-to-face manner. From June 2024 through May 2025, we had approximately 5.5 million views on our content with over 132,000 interactions. Louisiana Right to Life shared the beauty of life at the State Fair of Louisiana in Shreveport from October 30 through November 17, 2024. LARTL staffed and facilitated a group of volunteers to handle our prolife materials, especially small fetal models to young children showcasing the development of the unborn baby in the womb, and had at least 1,000 people stop by our booth to pick up materials. For the first time, Louisiana Right to Life hosted a booth at the Washington Parish Free Fair in the fall of 2024. At the fair, Louisiana Right to Life staff and volunteers distributed a plethora of pro-life information, materials, and fetal models to hundreds of visitors. Line 4D</ExplanationTxt>
