Several bike-friendly updates to the California Vehicle Code included requiring car drivers to move over a full lane to pass someone on a bicycle. Changes to allowed local parking requirements, environmental review practices for transit and active transportation, and bike parking in building standards were other legislative improvements CalBike worked on to improve safety and convenience of bicycling.Complete Streets-Following the veto of Complete Streets legislation and request from the Governor for Caltrans to work internally to improve Complete Streets policy and practice, CalBike has worked with Caltrans administration on this pursuit.
