LIHEAP offers 2 programs: Home Energy and Crisis Energy. Home Energy funds are provided once a year and are based on the clients gross income and household size. Crisis funding is available when a client experiences a financial crisis. It helps keep electricity on, or restores it if needed. In the 2024 fiscal year, EOC assisted 755 households with utility assistance. 309718 The Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program provides developmentally appropriate instruction and activities to prepare children for Kindergarten. It provides education and vocational training. Clients living at or near the poverty level learn to recognize their barriers to self-sufficiency and how to overcome them. REACH helps clients achieve their educational and vocational goals, earn a living wage, and move away from poverty and public assistance to financial self-sufficiency.
