This is tracked through reports provided by both entities, which we then track through Excel Spread Sheets and QuickBooks. We then provide the monthly and Quarterly tallys to our Post Commander and the Post Trustees for their review and acceptance, the Quarterly Audit is then sent to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Georgia's Inspector for review and approval. X 0 0 1 Veteran to Veteran Donations, during the calendar year we provided donations to several veterans for either personal utilities or payments to fix their vehicle, our Vet to Vet donations for this past year were reduced as the number of veterans that needed assistance decreased. 6 0 5098 Either gift card or payment to vendors. Donation of vehicle repair of over $ 4059 for a veteran to help with his business as the vehicle broke down in Texas and had to be repaired there, We paid for that veterans vehicle repair as a donation As a non-profit organization we are required by our parent organization to make specific donations, these are tracked by the District, Department and National organizations to ensure that we make these donations. These donations are for Middle School, High School students, Elementary, Middle and High School Teachers, Law Enforcement officers, Fire Fighters, and 911 Operators, Boy Scout Eagle Scouts, and Civil Air Patrol Cadets. These awards consists of Certificates, Medals, and monetary awards up to $ 400. 12 6145 400 Certifcates, Medal, Moneitary Award and Banquets When all of the winners of the various programs are determined we hold a banquet where they are provided a meal and the families are allowed to watch the winners receive their awards. Schedule I, Part I, Line 2 Donations that are made to Veterans and their Families are tracked both in our Receipt & Disbursement Excel Spreadsheet, they are also tracked via QuickBooks. The funds are monitored to ensure that when provided to a veteran that we pay for the service to the service provider, and not directly to the Veteran of their Family, Should they need to purchase food items we provide either gift cards for a specific store to purchase the food items for them. 0 0 0 William Stradtner Quartermaster / CFO 900 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 900 0 0 0 Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9143 had 274 Voting members at the end of our fiscal year of 2025 - 2026 Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9143 has it annual elections during the months of March - April. Nominations are opened in March during our monthly meeting, and the elections are held during our meeting during the month of April. The Officer Postions are are open during this timeframe are: Post Commander (CEO), Senior Vice Commander, Junior Vice Commander, Quartermaster (CFO), 3 year Trustee, and 3 year House Committee member. All other positions are appointed by the new Post Commander prior to him taken office during the June Department Convention. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b Any changes to our Post Bylaws or any new business that is over $ 250.00, must be approved by the post membership that is in attendance at the monthly meeting. Should an emergency occur a special meeting is held and the members in attendance will vote on the special item. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b A copy of the completed and approved by the IRS of the Form 990, is emailed to the Post officers after we have received the confirmation of a successful submission, then a copy is placed into the Post Business officer and is available to any Post Member who has requested to review it. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 The officers that receive compensation for their services were reviewed by the House Committee and then put into the Post Standing Orders which are an offshoot of the Post Bylaws. The standing orders are sent to all members via email and they are approved during one of the post monthly meetings. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 As a veteran organization we enforce the Post, District, Department and National Bylaws and polices. Our bylaws at the Post level must be approved by the Post, District, Department and National organizations, Once they are approved they are implemented at the Post Level.
