Since its founding in 2010 and as of December 2023, WLF has raised $2.7 million in donations for our rural communities and specified projects such as the launch of TeachUNITED (www.teachunited.org), which became an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit as of January 1, 2020. TeachUNITED works to coach and empower rural and underserved teachers to prepare the next generation of students with the skills to graduate, earn more income, and disrupt cycles of poverty. As of May 2023, TeachUNITED had reached 1 million students. The organization currently works in approximately 2,400 rural schools across Africa, Latin America, and the USA. We are proud of the role that the World Leadership Foundation had in starting this impact-driven nonprofit. Form 990, Part III, line 2 In 2025, K12 Change Lab recruited eight schools to participate in its first cohort, an 18-month program that helps schools make strategic change. These schools included a range of schools in North and South America, and the challenges ranged from improving learning to strengthening community. K12 Change Lab expands and replaces the K12 Purpose Summit, an annual 3-day conference that WLF has organized since 2017. Form 990, Part III, line 3 World Leadership Foundation changed their funding model for rural school and non-profit partners worldwide. Rather than run school donations through World Leadership Foundation, these donations are being in the program fee charged to students by World Leadership School. These donations continue to flow to recipient communities, but no longer through WLF. This change was made to ensure that students understand they are learning from and walking with the World Leadership Foundation community partners rather than "helping" them with donations.
