General explanation attachment KKBM Charitable Fund continuous its work in memory of Keerat Baweja, who passed away in 2020 after a strong fight with blood cancer. Keerats unwavering spirit continues to inspire her family and friends, who remain deeply committed to advancing the fight against cancer. KKBM Charitable Fund continues to facilitate improvements to existing treatments and development of new treatments with preference for blood cancer, pediatric cancer and precision medicine. There remains significant opportunity to improve treatment options for children with cancer, especially in reducing the long-term harmful effects of the treatment currently being used. In addition to its scientific mission, the Fund continues to provide support to cancer patients, caregivers and impacted families through financial aid, grants and other activities. It also seeks to support students directly or through other organizations, especially students pursuing science, technology and mathematics, a cause near and dear to Keerat. Looking ahead, the fund plans to explore offering the housing facilities at a discounted rent to the cancer patients and their caregivers in the close proximity of the hospitals, while patient is undergoing treatment and/or participating in clinical trials. Initial focus will be to provide housing support around the cancer hospitals in Texas. Evaluation of proposals in support of funds objectives is done by the executive team either directly or through third party recommendations. The Fund continues to dedicate 98+ percent of its resources to above activities. The activities are funded by raising money through donations, fundraising activities and investment income. The activities of the Fund support the Funds scientific, charity and educational purposes to support cancer patients, caregivers and impacted families.
