Part VI, Line 6 Nonprofit organization is a public benefit organization 501C3 with 325 members Part VI, Line 7a The members of the organization elect new board members during the annual membership meeting using a simple majority rule. Part VI, Line 7b The members of the organization vote to approve any bylaw changes dismissal of board members and dissolution of the organization according to our bylaws and state laws. Part VI, Line 11a A draft copy of the 990 was sent to all members of the governing body Board of Directors for review and feedback. Part VI, Line 12c All directors sign an annual form confirming their compliance with the conflict of interest policy Part VI, Line 15 Review committee acquired compensation data from other comparable non-profits to define the salary and duties. Candidates were reviewed by the committee and the independent officers of the refuge complex. A recommendation was made to the Board for approval of the selected candidate. Part I Line 1 | Explanation:| Financial Sustainability and Growth: Our fundraising initiatives generated vital resources this past year ensuring the sustainability and expansion of our essential programs: -Brews for the Birds Beer & Music Festival: Our third annual large-scale community outreach event was a resounding success raising nearly $37,000 in gross revenue. This total included a significant $10,000 grant from the Miter Foundation dedicated to securing a marketing consultant to enhance our event promotion. Crucial in-kind and partnership support including over $10,000 in donated brews secured by Langers Family Entertainment and a $5,500 allocation from a City of Sherwood grant maximized the events net impact. The Festival contributed over $16,000 directly to our mission funds. -Native Plant Sale: Supported by Bosky Dell Natives this annual sale raised close to $5,000 while simultaneously promoting crucial wildlife habitat and biodiversity within our community. Membership Engagement: Our annual Bowling at Langers event fostered deeper connections with our membership base and generated $2,088 in support funds. We also reinforced our commitment to national conservation through our relationships with the National Wildlife Refuge Association NWRA and the Coalition of Refuge Friends and Advocates CORFA.
