For ongoing transactions we conduct regular reviews to monitor compliance and quickly address any emerging issues. If a potential or actual conflict is identified after a transaction has occurred a thorough post-transaction review is conducted to determine appropriate corrective measures such as enhanced oversight or an independent audit. All steps from disclosure to resolution are fully documented and discussed at Mission Circle board meetings ensuring our practices remain transparent accountable and in strict adherence to our Mission Circle governance standards. Part VI, Line 15 A dedicated compensation circle comprised of diverse Mission Circle board members and independent experts conducted a comprehensive review of market benchmarks internal equity and cost-of-living considerations. This review ensured that the compensation was fair transparent and aligned with our mission to promote economic justice and equity. The circles recommendations were then approved by the Mission Circle board reflecting our values and ensuring accountability in our financial stewardship. Part VI, Line 19 Our organization is committed to transparency and accountability. Our governing documents conflict of interest policy and financial statements are available upon request to the public. These documents are accessible to ensure transparency and accountability. During 2024-2025 the organization changed its accounting period from a calendar year ending December 31 to a fiscal year ending June 30. In planning for the subsequent short-period return ending June 30 2025 the organization believed it should wait to file until the IRS released the 2025 version of Form 990 applicable to its new fiscal year and did not appreciate that filing on the 2024 form for this short period would satisfy the filing requirement. Once the filing requirement and acceptable form-year options for the short-period 2025 return were clarified the organization promptly took steps to compile information and complete and file this return. The late filing was not due to willful neglect; the organization exercised ordinary business care and prudence while working through the accounting-period transition and has now implemented additional procedures and calendaring controls to ensure that all future returns are filed accurately and on time.
