Through the tireless work of the Auxiliary Executive Board and its many members, the Norman Regional Auxiliary provides services to the hospital, its patients and their loved ones.In 2024, the Auxiliary provided donations to Norman Regional Health System to help them purchase equipment, patient supplies, and help with operational expenses. Wendy spends approximately 20 hours per week on Auxiliary duties and 25 hours per week on Hospital duties. Form 990, Part VII includes the 2024 calendar year compensation and benefits paid to Wendy. 50% of Wendy's 2024 compensation and benefits that are attributable to the Auxiliary as follows. Compensation = $ 53,449 Deferred Compensation = $ 3,343 Nontaxable Benefits = $ 5,253 Form 990, Part III, line 3 We closed two of our retail locations: one gift shop and one coffee shop (Daily Grind). One gift shop, one scrub shop and three Daily Grind coffee shops remain. Form 990, Part V, Line 2a: The employees are compensated by Norman Regional Health System, therefore the Auxiliary does not issue W-2s. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 1a The Executive Board consists of the elected officers of the Auxiliary and the immediate Past President who shall serve as Parliamentarian. The Executive Board has the power and authority to do and perform all acts in accordance with the Bylaws, as long as they are not in conflict with the Administration. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6 Active Members are required to work for the Auxiliary's benefit a minimum of 60 hours per year. Active members in good standing have the right to attend meetings, vote, hold office, and attend special events. Required training and adherence to the Organization's standards and requirements are mandatory. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a Active Members in good standing have the right to vote on the board members. Only an Acitve Member is eligible for election an an officer. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7b The Bylaws may be amended, revised or rescinded by the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the eligible Members present and voting at any regular or special meeting of the Auxiliary, provided that prior notice of these proposed changes has been presented to the Membership. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b The Form 990 is prepared and reviewed by an outside accounting firm. It is reviewed by the Board Members prior to filing with the IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c The Auxiliary has a conflict of interest policy and officers, board members, and volunteers are required to state any apparent, actual, and potential conflicts of interest to ensure conflicts do not improperly affect activities or professional conduct. An individual with a conflict must promptly disclose in writing to the Executive Board. The Executive Board must investigate the disclosure and forward the disclosure with written recommendations of a plan to manage the conflict to an appropriate director of the Health System and the Auxiliary Executive Board for decision on how to proceed. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15 Wendy Friebrich, Director of Volunteer Services, is compensated by Norman Regional Hospital Authority. The Authority determines Wendy's compensation and the Auxiliary board and Authority board work together to determine the amount to allocate to the Auxiliary.
