General explanation attachment SBILC faced many challenges during the year. However, there were a couple of success stories, as listed below: A young man, who had wworked at the same job for several years was concerned his vision impairment would jeopardize his job. He visited the Center for assistance. As he stated he was a long-term employee with good medical benefit, however, with a high deductible. He contacted an eye specialist and tried to plan for surgery and make payments; however, arrangements would not work with his budget. Therefore, he and a Center employee made an appointment with DRS visual services and were able to get the appropriate surger with DRS working with the eye clinic and insurance to provide what was needed for him to obtain the surgery.
