The Organization shelters victims and children of domestic violence for a temporary period of time while they are looking for a new, safe place to live. The Organization also provides advocacy services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, bullying, and stalking. In FY2025, Safe Harbor assisted 318 women, children and men that were victims of domestic violence. Safe Harbor also assisted 53 stalking victims; 19 sexual abuse victims; 12 adolescent sexual abuse victims; 7 child abuse victims; 1 victim of bullying; 3 victims of other crimes and 1 Sex and Human Trafficking victim; and 29 domestic violence protection orders. The Organization sheltered 81 women, 31 children, and 2 men: providing 5,671 bed nights and 17,013 meals. 172963 81656 Kids Konnection served as a supervised visitation and exchange center for individuals referred by a court system, Department of Social Services, attorneys or others if there are difficulties exchanging children with another caretaker including when a court order restricts contact between parents or emotional safety is compromised. The determination of existence of a conflict is monitored by the board members as issues arise. Board members with a conflict abstain from voting on issues where a conflict exists. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15 Safe Harbor has an annual review of each employee. The Executive Director is reviewed by all staff and also by the Board of Directors. The Office Manager is reviewed by the Executive Director and this information is then given to the Board of Directors. The Executive Director researches comparable salaries with similar domestic violence shelters and makes suggestions to the Board of Directors of raises. The budget is reviewed, the Board of Directors then votes, and the compensation discussion is documented in the Board minutes. Form 990, Part XI, Line 8 Certain errors resulting in an understatement of amounts previously reported for donated supplies income and program service expenses, as well as certain amounts overstated for cash and cash equivalents, contributions and program expenses as of June 30, 2024, were discovered by management of the Organization during the current year. Accordingly, amounts reported for cash and cash equivalents, donated supplies, contributions, program service expenses, and net assets without donor restrictions were restated to correct the error in the June 30, 2024 financial statement.
