Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The organization has members who: (1) elect from their own ranks members of the governing body (directors and officers) and (2) approve significant decisions proposed by the governing body. Organizational members do not receive any share or profits of excess dues, and likewise would not recieve any share of net assets upon the organization's dissolution. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a In May of each year the organizational members elect all officers for a term of 1 year, and elect one-half of the directors for a term of 2 years. The terms of office start on 1 July (following the May election) and end on 30 June of the appropriate year. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b The following governance decisions are subject to approval by organizational members: (1) the annual budget recommended by the Board of Directors; (2) the annual election of officers and directors; and (3) any bylaws changes.
