Membership is composed of qualified veterans who meet the eligibility requirements established by the National Organization. Each member in good standing has one vote in Post matters including the election of officers and decisions requiring Post approval. Part VI, Line 11a Prior to filing a draft of Form 990 is prepared by the Post Quartermaster and reviewed by the Post Commander and Trustees of VFW Post 2772 Sherman Texas. The completed return is then presented to the Post membership for review and discussion during a regularly scheduled Post meeting. Any questions corrections or clarifications are addressed at that time. Once approved the finalized Form 990 is signed by the Commander and filed with the IRS. A copy of the return is retained in the Posts financial records and made available to the Post and Auxiliary officers upon request.
