MJ House of Style The Senior Vice President of HAAPE is Owner/Principal of MJ House of Style. 10000 The grant was used to pay for expenses associated with HAAPE's FAU Entrepreneurship Program 0 Form 990, Part III, Line 2 During our fiscal year 2025, HAAPE implemented a pilot program called Entrepreneurship bootcamp for autistic adults conducted through a partnership with Florida Atlantic University (FAU). As far as we know, this is the first time that such a program has been offered for autistic adults. The program was taught by HAAPE's senior vice president, María Jacobo, who is an FAU Certified Entrepreneurship Instructor. Course material was specifically adapted to provide autistic adults the opportunity learn how to start their own business. Throughout the bootcamp, participants identified their strengths, explored business opportunities, developed business concepts, learned the fundamentals of customer discovery and business planning, and presented their business ideas during a final business sales presentation. The ultimate goal of this pilot program is to provide ongoing mentorship, accountability and technical assistance to help participants attain their career dreams by launching and sustaining their own enterprise. This effort formally became an official program sponsored by HAAPE during our FY 2025. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for preparing Form 990 and receives input from the Chief Executive Officer as well as other HAAPE board members and partners in order to complete the final draft. At that point the final draft is fully reviewed by the Chief Executive Officer. If necessary, the final draft will also be reviewed by a Board members who is very familiar with the Form 990. Finally, if necessary, the final draft will be reviewed by a HAAPE volunteer that is also a retired certified public accountant. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c At the end of the fiscal year, the Chief Executive Officer sends an email to each member of the board of directors, requesting that the conflict of interest policy be thoroughly reviewed and understood. Each board member is then required to sign and return an affirmation that he/she is in compliance with that policy. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 HAAPE's tax returns have been filed with the IRS and are made available to the general public. In addition, we have filed copies of our tax return with the State of Florida as part of our registration process as a charitable organization with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Consumer Services. We also send out a yearly report to everyone connected to HAAPE and as part of the Chief Financial Offer's report, there is an offer to provide a copy of our tax return upon request. HAAPE governing documents and conflict of interest policy are always available to anyone upon request.
