We believe a strong community can only be achieved when we invest in our kids, health, and neighbors. Our programs, services, and initiatives enable youth to realize their potential, offer families ways to have fun together, empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind, and body, welcome and embrace newcomers and help foster social responsibility. The Moultrie Y strives daily to be the lead provider of Fitness, Family, and Fun for ALL. Form 990, Part VI, Line 6 Classes of members or stockholders The organization has members and anyone paying dues is a member and all members 18 or over may vote on the board of directors. This is the only voting that members do. Form 990, Part VI, Line 7a Members or stockholders electing members of governing body The members elect the board of directors for three year terms. The board of directors then makes all governing decisions. Form 990, Part VI, Line 11b Review of form 990 by governing body A copy of the 990 is presented to every member of the Board of Directors. They review it and based on a recommendation from the Executive Directors and CFO, they approve the 990 to be filed. Form 990, Part VI, Line 12c Conflict of interest policy The Executive Director signs all checks and the Director of Finance approves all purchase orders and check request. In the absence of the Executive Director, a Board Member signs the checks. During this time they review the vendor for possible conflict of interest issues. Form 990, Part VI, Line 15a Process to establish compensation of top management official The Executive Director's pay is reviewed annually by the executive committee in December an then is presented to the Board for approval. Form 990, Part VI, Line 15b Process to establish compensation of other employees The Executive Director sets the salaries for all other personnel with assistance from the executive committee and department heads and then includes them in the budget which is approved by the Board of Directors. Since the Board of Directors decided to have an employee with Human Resources experience begin to carry out the responsibilities of a Human Resource director. She has prepared complete job descriptions and setup a formal employee job performance review process.
