Part IV To ensure fairness and reasonableness, the League utilizes multiple vendors for similar goods and services whenever feasible. Vendor selection is based on a combination of factors, including pricing, quality of services, reliability, and prior performance. Decisions regarding vendor selection are made by authorized individuals or committees of the League who are independent of the interested person involved in the transaction. Part IV In situations where an interested person provides goods or services to the League, the terms of the transaction are reviewed to ensure they are comparable to, or more favorable than, those available from unrelated third parties. In some cases, discounted rates are provided to the League, further supporting that the transactions are reasonable and beneficial to the organization. For example, KKLC regularly provides discounted invoices for services rendered and also makes considerable financial donations to the Symphony League, further demonstrating that these transactions are conducted on terms favorable to the organization. Part IV All transactions are documented and reviewed in accordance with the Leagues governance procedures to maintain transparency and compliance with applicable IRS regulations. Pt VI, Line 6 There are four categories of membership in the League: Active, Supporting, Special Senior and Life. Membership is open to all persons interested in the support and promotion of the Symphony of Southeast Texas. All members are eligible to serve as officers or committee chairs. Pt VI, Line 7a The officers are elected by the members at the annual meeeting. All categories of members are eligible to vote. Pt VI, Line 11b Form 990 was reviewed by the President and Treasurer prior to filing. Pt VI, Line 12c Officers complete a disclosure form annually.
